That is to say, notable individuals originating from suitably humble beginnings who seized power in equally tumultuous plus violent ways. I am not certain if the "robber barons" of the United States of America meet the criteria I laid out...

Supernatural affiliation is, of course, optional :wink:.

GK isn't a perfect comparison, but there are some similar points to their stories.

They both murdered their brothers. They both had poor childhoods. They're both rulers who conquered vast territories. There is no full accurate description of either. They both play games with the heads of their victims. The method of their deaths and the location of their bodies is unknown.

Hitler!!! Modest childhood, appeared friendly to his own and was ultimately taken out by his own after rampaging through every country in his way ...
