During the second round of The Great Music Tournament, please vote for up to three tracks you would like to move onto the next round. The top three tracks will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given track receives will determine its standing going forward.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

Why are people still voting for Susan Boyle... it's painful.
Like stapling your nuts to the wall

My question is...why is every Metallica song like 7 to 10 minutes long? Haven't they ever heard of a 3-4 minute single?

I think most of their songs average somewhere between 5 -7 minutes. AFAIK, they only have 2 that crack the 9 minute mark and none over 10 minutes.

With the heavy metal genre it's very normal to have long songs like that, since you get these nice 1-2 minute solos, sometimes two or three per song. I like the more longform tracks, of any genre. It gives a chance for the music to breathe and evolve. That's why "extended" mixes are so popular. You just can't get enough in three minutes.

Oh, I believe I can get quite enough in 3 minutes...

...enough to beg for it to stop LOL

It seemed that every time I opened a Metallica video for this contest, I was faced with a quite lengthy track (at least 7 minutes? or maybe it just seemed that way), causing me to weep uncontrollably at the thought of subjecting myself to yet another 7+ minutes of ... Metallica.
