So you might have noticed I'm running this music tournament over in The Forge and music is a big passion of mine (as are books and movies). I love all genres of music, regardless of age. So in my recent personal research on older music (pre-classical), I stumbled on this site: http://www.firstsounds.org/ Really mind-blowing stuff! We've all seen those late 19th century silent clips of crude movie scenes and thought they must be the earliest recorded moments of our world history, but now there are these tiny haunting sound recordings, too. And they come from as early as the 1850s!
