During the first round of The Great Music Tournament, please vote for up to five tracks you would like to move onto the next round. The top five tracks will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given track receives will determine its standing going forward.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

I'm surprised "Master of Puppets" getting as many votes as it is. The original is always better and is already in Round 2. I guess I was just never a fan of the whole symphony idea.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the S&M album and a lot of their songs didn't work quite as well with the symphony but they really rocked it out on the Master of Puppets track. Plus the fact that it's one of my favorite Metallica songs anyway. :coo3l:

That is because "Master" is more than pre-teen, and post-teen females singing about love in a little girl's voice... nor is it about no talent males singing (rapping/talking) about how much money they make while a computer corrects his voice... and plays the drums and bass.

"Masters" is actual musical talent and skill based on hard work.

I'm a huge Metallica fan, my point was that the original version is better. That was all.

Surprised to see "Believe" tied for last. But it's not too far back still.
