During the first round of The Great Music Tournament, please vote for up to five tracks you would like to move onto the next round. The top five tracks will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given track receives will determine its standing going forward.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

I know "Fear of the Dark" will most likely get buried in this tough group but I hope folks give it a fair chance. In my view it's Iron Maiden's best song and one of the best heavy metal songs of all time. And it's probably in the top-something of all of the 1990s for me.

Well, I'm a blank slate. I'm not familiar with any of these songs, so all songs have the same chance for my vote. (Most of these '90s contests will play out like this for me).

Pretty surprising seeing "Bedtime Story" so far behind.

You have never heard Loser by Beck or One by U2? Hell, I have heard Gin and Juice numerous times and I don't listen to that kind of music.

If people listened to it and read the lyrics I'm sure it'd have more votes.

That's why we have the videos and the notice at the top of each poll! :)

LOL, it's exactly one of those I knew from the start I would vote for in any group http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/bear_grin.gif (http://s91.photobucket.com/user/mishemplushem/media/Facilitation/bear_grin.gif.html)

also voted Tears in Heaven, which I've loved since forever, and Right Here Right Now, which is really really good

I need to take a moment to apologize or several of my posts. I made these sort of posts with humor in mind. I did not think they would be taken this seriously.

"Holy shit balls Batman!" Said the boy wonder. "Iron maiden are out of the race and I think my arse looks big in this costume"
