Frankly, I think that he has way too many projects just now. How many will be actually do?
He already has THE STAND, LISEY'S STORY, and that's just Stephen King's work... He has other options, but then we'll learn that he has options for DUMA KEY, FINDERS KEEPERS, END OF WATCH, BLAZE...

I think Revival could make a great movie if done properly.

The ending stuck with me for days.

Blaze has the best potential for mainstream success. Could be a Stand By Me/Shawshank Redemption caliber film.

I fixed it for you - you need to provide the full URL without the 's' in 'https'

Yes I agree Revival would be great if done right. A lot easier to do than The Stand.

It's funny given the furor over Idris Elba as Roland but I think SLJ could do a great job and this excites me after seeing 'Hateful Eight'.

Sam Jackson was fabulous in H8. He should have gotten an Oscar Nod. I think this could be a good choice.

Oh, with the X-MEN project, you can be sure that the movie wont be shooting anytime before 2018, and be released prior to 2019 or such

Mike Flanagan, the director of “The Shining” sequel “Doctor Sleep,” is set to write the adaptation of another Stephen King novel for Warner Bros., his 2014 book “Revival,” an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Flanagan will write the screenplay adaptation with the option to direct, and he and his partner at Intrepid Films Trevor Macy will produce the film.

King’s “Revival” is described as a dark and electrifying novel about addiction, fanaticism, and what might exist on the other side of life. It takes place in a small New England town and follows a musician and heroin addict who reconnects with a minister whom he admired as a child. The minister renounced God after an accident killed his wife and child, and the minister now performs dubious experiments with electricity. But the minister is now obsessed with finding a way to communicate with his dead family and winds up summoning demonic creatures in the process.

Can't help but smile on this. I liked the book, I loved Mike Flanagan adaptations, and I have a great relationship with Warner. Who knows, I might visit Hollywood again :)

I feel a little bad for Boone as you could tell it was really special for him (he even did the introduction for the limited edition) but Flanagan has more than proven he knows how to handle King.

I love Flanagan but I'm not sure if even he could make the ants not laughable.

“What I love about it is it’s a return to cosmic horror, which I think is so fun,” Flanagan told the podcast. “It is relentlessly dark and cynical and I’m enjoying the hell out of that. This is just bleak and mean and I like it for that. I haven’t gotten to end a movie that way since Absentia, maybe? Maybe Ouija?

“This one was a really fun piece of material for me because I get to be like, ‘Oh, you want a dark ending? Okay. Cool. Get ready.’“
