Last year, we managed to raise $17,000 for the Haven Fund - an absolutely super heroic amount! This kind of teamwork and generosity proves that everyone who participates - in whatever capacity, is a superhero....

With that in mind, this year's theme is superheroes!

This request brought back memories, so...

My "new" avatar is the very first avatar I ever used at the original, now-defunct, TDT.net. I used it with the Mordred tagline you see here. It was a conscious decision to be silly in juxtaposition to what I perceived to be a whole lot of self-image crafting/posturing badassery going on at the time generally.

The photo was current then: 2004. That's the timeframe in which I met (virtually) many of the long-time collectors here on TDT.org, many of whom I have since met face-to-face and all of whom, after over a decade of online and in-person friendship, I trust implicitly.

The kid in the Spider-Man suit is my older son, he'll be 15 in a couple weeks.

I respect that 100%. I donate as well to the cause even though they don't help Canadians. I do it for the chance at a signed King book and the fact that I love authors. So if I can help... I will regardless of nationality. I wish it would aid those who need it though....

OK, I'm hearing rumblings at Marvel that they're taking a new approach to the Gunslinger, so he is my new "Hero" avatar, using the concept sketches! New tales involving him and Cuthbert as well as Eddie are in the works! What do you think of the new Roland?

JUST KIDDING! Many of you probably know this is the mid-2000's era Rawhide Kid that was supposed to be gay. They didn't take it very seriously though, and I think it failed on all accounts. I'll have a few months of fun and bring the Rawhide Kid back for a little while.

As long as Scarlett stays away from singing entire albums of Tom Waits covers, which though she has a nice voice and I'm glad she is a Waits fan, they simply weren't in her wheelhouse. I have liked most other projects that she's been in though, just a misstep here and there.

Well since the Bengals are an embarrassment to me now, guess this is a good excuse to change my Avatar to Mr. Fantastic.

EDIT: Maybe I should come up with a different one, the last Fantastic Four movie was a bigger embarrassment then the Bengals. The Fantastic Four were my favorite comic back in the late 70's and 80's.
