One of my favorites ever.

I have many fond memories. Fisher King. Awakenings. Death to Smoochy. Dead Poets Society, What Dreams May Come.

All I can think about is Dead Poet's Society

" To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?"

Precisely.

My favorite movie from him was What Dreams May Come.
Mine was Dead Poets Society, but I haven't seen What Dreams May Come. I will now.

Absolutely shocking and sad news.

I just watched him back on TV in The Crazy Ones and reunited with his Mork & Mindy co-star, Pam Dawber. He's fantastic on the show but it was cancelled after the one season.

One of my favorite movies, along with Good Will Hunting, Aladdin, and Hook.

What Dreams May Come was absolutely beautifully produced with amazing heartfelt performances.

It is amazing the amount of people he has touched as shown by the public outcry of his tragic decision to take his own life. We need to heal our psychic wounds and mental illness in our culture. Deny the stigmatizing and take care of ourselves and our loved ones. You can't help but to wonder if Robin was to see the outpouring of emotion and affection for him if he would have chosen the same path.

So sad that he is gone yet so happy my life was touched by his talents. He was a true genius.

Dead Poets Society has always been one of my favorite movies period, not just favorite Robing Williams movies. It is such a wonderful and funny movie that lures you into a sense of joy and the just punches you right in the stomach in such a sudden and abrupt way. That is a movie that brings me to tears pretty much any time I watch it.

I'm so happy I got to see him do his stand up show a couple of years ago. He was just so amazing in person, as well as on the small and large screens.

My favourite film was Good Morning Vietnam. I think I know all of his dialogue from that film. Aladdin rates high too :-)

This news sheds a bit of light on the suicide:

Its no less sad, and only a little less puzzling, but I think many people can comprehend the titanic struggle of coping with a life-changing diagnosis.
