TheDarkTower.org (http://www.thedarktower.org/)is proud to be the EXCLUSIVE site to auction this new, unique and fine Collectible item.
For your consideration is an ORIGINAL drawing by renowned artist Rachel Readman!
This remarkable piece is drawn in a 1st edition Collectors Set of Joe Hill’s “The Saved”.
This special edition chapbook of Joe Hill's short story, "The Saved," was published by PS Publishing as a holiday gift for their subscribers. It is the third in the series. Signed hard copies were sent to all Postscripts hardcover subscribers; paperback subscribers received unsigned copies. The press run was very small, as no copies were offered for sale to the general public. This one of the unsigned copies.
The 24 page short story originally appeared in The Clackamas Review Vol. V, 2001 and is bound in light blue and black pictorial boards with wraparound artwork by James Hannah that is repeated as endpapers. Issued without a dust jacket.
The book is unread and is like new.
Thanks to artist Rachel Readman for the art. Rachel is a renowned artist and sculptor and a long supporter of the Haven Fund through TDT.org. More of her work can be found at www.RachelReadman.com
Special thanks to member StroppyGoblin for providing the book.

So, a little background on this and the other Joe Hill chapbook that are being auctioned. When I purchased the copy of JAS for Rachel to remarque, I contacted the eBay seller to ensure it was packed well as it would be sold as a Haven Fund item. The seller (SK-Books) messaged me back that he was aware of the HF and that he wanted to help the cause by proving some additional items to be auctioned - these turned out to be the 2 Joe Hill chapbooks. The 3 books (inc JAS) were sent direct to Rachel and even though she had already pledged to do the 4 remarques in JAS, she offered to do something in the chapbooks as well!

I really appreciate Rachel's other work in JAS, but for me, the Snow Angel pictured above in 'The Saved' is just wonderful! Thanks again Rachel

Keith, the owner of SK-Books, is a pretty good guy. I've dealt with him a number of times.

More great auction items - really like Rachel's work and these both look amazing (although as a military person I cannot help but be embarrassed by the actions in the thumbprint chapbook - but that doesn't take away from Rachel's work at all).

This was a lovely image to do and something different to the death, destruction, blood and gore. The story called for a little beauty and magic.
