I've only read one book in this whole bracket :( I might hold off on voting for this one. I absolutely loved the miniseries, and I have the screenplay sitting at home, but have yet to read it.
when does the poll close? If I start reading tonight, will I make it before it's over? I hate to vote "never read"
Polls are open for 7 days. Closing time is listed at the very top of the poll itself.

This is the only 0 I’ll give out.
I think I struggled through this once but since it’s literally a screen play rather than a novel, you might as well throw the book away and just watch the mini-series instead.

Another one I've only read once. Middle of the pack King. 3.
I liked it - quite a bit even!

weird... I could have sworn I had it somewhere... Looks like will have to vote "never read", after all. Not that it ever advanced anywhere.

One of only a couple that I must mark as "never read". Only other ones will be Colorado Kid and Faithful....I think.

For some reason I think the poll closing time only shows up once you've voted. I still see nothing on mine, it's all blank up top. Which is odd since sometimes you'll want to know how long you have till you'll have to vote.
I think it's generally more important to see it before you have voted, not after
Maybe it'll appear if you click to preview the votes?

I tried to read it once, but I had problems getting into it. Not that it was a bad story, but because it was a screenplay. I'll have to try again someday.

It does, but its still very odd that its not there for you to see.

Yes. I am trying right now. It's atrocious.

Oh no, really? Is it just cause you don't like reading a screenplay? Or does it differ from the miniseries that much.
I hate reading screenplays. They are not meant to be read. Reading descriptions in a novel is bad enough, but then - sometimes - the author tries to make them interesting, while in a screenplay he doesn't have to.

Yeah, reading a screenplay is completely different than reading a book. I just hate to see this get such low scores, when I think the story itself is good.

Oh the story is good! But reading a screenplay is not fun for me.
bears are struggling through it now. Unfortunately, for them a book is the writing.
So what's the word, Jean? You've got about 24 hours now.
there's no way I'll finish it by then
I've been reading it for ages, and still only halfway through
maybe it's better that it won't have my vote: I definitely would not have rated it above 2 (and this, only if things turn abruptly much better than they have been so far)
The poll has closed. Storm of the Century has earned a FAS (final average score) of 3.000000000 or 60.00%. It received a rating of 3.5/3 with 4 votes.
I am asking myself if I should go on reading it now.
