I saw this on Hollywood Game Night and thought it was pretty cool, so I figured we could try it out here. It's a team game, so I'll modify the rules a little to make it more adaptable to the forum.

Basically, you're given a famous movie quote and the first one to buzz in has to get their teammates to say the line by paraphrasing it without using any of the original words (including prepositions and articles appearing in the title).

Instead, I figured we'll start with the scrambled quote and the first one to guess it wins and starts a new one, etc., etc.

For example:

"We're gonna need a bigger boat." (from Jaws) could be switched to:

"That person will require larger ship."

Got it?

Here's one to start us off:

"Remain elegant, Los Angeles."

So I guess it's my turn?

"Not one person should place an infant where two walls intersect."

I just wanted to say that I think it's best if we try to stick with somewhat famous movie quotes. Choosing quotes from obscure cult classic films doesn't seem like a great idea.

Actually, the quote is one of the most often misquoted lines in cinema. Most people think the quote is, "If you build it, they will come." In actuality, the quote is, "If you build it, he will come." As we know, the he is referring to Kevin Costner's father.

the quotation was: "I have been offered a lot for my work, but never everything" (The Magnificent Seven)

I think the original quotation must be something like, "I can't turn left", but I don't know where it is from

It's more impressive so sure lol. I love Zoolander, it's probably the best stupid comedy ever made.

Ha! I was thinking "roses, thorns, rose bud." "Rose bud, hmmmm, what movie quote incorporates a rose or rose bud..."

Didn't occur to me to think of ROSEBUD just by itself! Sort of a purloined letter situation. Well done!
