Yes any Lettered would be a good new Grail. I would love a Firestarter but I think that is bit out of reach without some sort of unexpected windfall. I think a more realistic one would be The Regulators. If I had seen the one that Betts just had in time, who know? Unfortunately it was sold before I saw it.

There was a nice NLR package on AbeBooks recently and I had to use a lot of restraint not to buy it. Luckily someone else took the option away, was it anyone on here??? If I had not exceeded my budget last year I would have jumped on it.

Very Nice, You did a excellent job cleaning it up. Sometimes using erasers leave shiny areas where they're used - did this happen on the portfolio? If not, I might try that myself with a new eraser, if mine has issues.

jonp- no shiny areas from where I used the eraser. I still need to do one more pass to try and get the last of the smudges off so I’ll let you know if the second pass leaves any shiny spots. The eraser I used is very soft and shreds a fair amount as you use it, so I think that helped to prevent any burnishing of the paper. I also was not heavy handed when doing this, just light pressure and I kept clearing the eraser debris as I went along.

Mine hasn't been dispatched yet, maybe they will sort out the issues before they send it out. I was thinking of bagging or wrapping them in the slipcase. It sounds as if the issues are due to the slipcase being so tight that this will not be possible.

Also love the Laserdisc collection, I thought I'd seen them before and remembered where. On The Collector website. Have you still got a working player?

Thanks Jon, I don’t think I’ll get bored with my lettered Stand but I will sleep easier knowing that there is at least one person that would look after it should something happen to me. :razz:

I do have a laserdisc player but have not tried to use it in sometime; I don’t think it work last time I tried. I should dust it off soon and see if I can get it working.

Both cool, but why no DOF on the left side?

That is the fun part of a tilt/shift lens. It gives you greater control of depth of field and placement. Instead of the focal plane being parallel to the film/image sensor plane you can shift it up or down, tilt it to widen or narrow it and rotate it from horizontal to vertical.

In the original photo I posted I was trying to draw the viewer’s eye to what I wanted them to see, Richard Bachman’s The Regulators with Stephen King standing in the background. Having just part of the spine and only two of the bullets sharp; I am hoping your eye will focus on the author/title and follow the bullets back to reveal the real author.

Thanks, the Creepshow is one of the nicer ones I have run across and it was not an arm and a leg. The CotW is brand new never open so I can’t complain.

Yes I am planning on framing them but wall space is limited. If I can figure it out I’d like to have a frame with three images and a way to easily rotate the images (e.g. remove the one on the left and side the other two down and add the new one on the right. Repeat each month)

I received my Lettered and Numbered copies of Faithful the other day and thought a group photo would be nice. So I pulled out all of different editions I had including the baseball card that came with the lettered edition. Not being a Red Sox fan I did not know much about Mark Bellhorn so I did a Google search and noticed the same image was used on the cover of Sports Illustrated so to complete the package I ordered a copy of that too.

Well I have not posted in some time so a have some catching up to do. Frist up is The Stand mini-series promotional bender I went on. It started with a VHS copy of “The Marketing of The Stand”. Then I picked up an unopened promotional box. Then the unopened promotional VHS set (part 1 & 2) of the mini-series. I finally picked up an open promo box to see what is inside; I didn’t want to open the one I had. It contains literature, an order form, poster and four VHS tapes, one is “The Marketing of The Stand” and the other three are “The Making of The Stand”.
