I wonder if it'll be included in The Man in Black hardcover? Wouldn't make sense to leave it off, or publish a two-issue hardcover.

A bigger question for me would be, are they gonna continue with drawing of the three or are they done? With the way gunslinger ended it ended pretty much the way the book did.

Wow I didn't realize its been two months since I made this thread. Looks like the comic will finally come out tomorrow.

I guess it was actually written a while back then. I was quite shocked to learn Peter David's recent health problems although according to recent blog posts (http://www.peterdavid.net/) thankfully he is slowly but surely making a recovery.

I haven't read it yet but I'm curious to see if there is anything after the next comic or if they are finally done with the dark tower.

I read it yesterday. It's pretty good. Better than the last few arcs of DT comics. We get to see the breakers, kids from Calla Bryn Sturgis, the "horses" etc.

I haven't gotten to pick it up yet. Where does it fit within the other Dark Tower comics?

It was supposed to come out before Eluria.

Is that where the story also takes place chronologically?

It's just a backstory about his life and mostly how he ended up in Algul Siento. The timeline is all over the place: his birth, childhood, meeting the boys from Gilead, meeting Ted Brautigan etc.

The next series (Evil Ground) takes place before Eluria.

Awesome. Thanks for the info! :)

The second and final issue comes out. I wonder if this will be the last of the dark tower comics? Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

As mentioned earlier, there is another series coming up next.

I thought the first issue was kinda great. I've had a lot of problems with the comics, but when I've liked them I've tended to love them. This one? Loved it.

Next up is a prequel to Little Sisters of Eluria called Evil Ground -- also two issues.

I dug the second issue. I didn't think the Great Old Ones would be so Lovecraftian. Tentacles galore.

Are those the same Great Old Ones that live in the Devil's Arse?

Great Ones. I think so. I think they're the same thing as the monsters who live in the cracks between worlds in Todash space.

They were a bit too much like sea creatures for my liking rather than the insectoid/centipede creatures described elsewhere. I guess there could be different kinds.

Anyhow. I bought both issues recently. Not bad at all although not much in the way of surprises. The artist's take on the Can-toi was eerie. The Taheen could have used a couple more weasel-heads, I think. I particularly liked Sheemie controlling the headless horse. ;)
