Hey everyone. I'm new to the forums here but thought I'd post anyways on a serious issue. I'm subscribed to several different forums so thought I'd give it a go here too. West Liberty, KY was recently ravaged by a F3 tornado March 2, 2012 in the late afternoon. Main street was destroyed (see below):

There are also many Youtube videos of the tornado approaching town. I have family from West Liberty and they have told me of a nonprofit organization ran by a couple of nuns in town that will be accepting donations in order to restore some order. When this information comes to me, would we have anyone with some interest in helping out? Every penny counts. Thanks everyone. Please let me know if this might generate some interest and I will keep you posted as the information comes to me.

There is a community center in Salyerville that is currently housing the homeless families. With food being the most important right now, the community centers are also in desperate need of:

] Diapers
] Womens hygiene supplies
] Blankets
] Baby formula/food
] Non perishable foods
] Cleaning supplies
] Soap
] Shampoo
] Toilet paper
] Paper towels
] Deodorants
] Tooth brushes
] Tooth paste
] Trash bags
] All-things baby
] Socks
] Towels
] Wash cloths/sponges

For anybody willing to help, please just post your interest here and I can forward you the information on where to send the items by tomorrow evening (after work). As for monetary donations, a local newspaper is current collecting funds and providing for the destroyed town. For these types of donations, please make payable to the Kentucky Journalism Foundation and mail to 101 Consumer Lane, Frankfurt, KY. 40601. Thanks! You guys are awesome.
