Hi Everyone – After seeing some of the great collections out there, I wanted to post mine as well. I’ve been collecting Stephen King books for the past twenty years, trying to focus mainly on first editions. I only started getting into S/L and Gift editions when Blockade Billy was published, and have been slowly trying to expand my collection ever since.

Take alot out of the hand to sign 750 copies. I guess they had to switch pens to avoid cramping up :)

I don't think he signs them all in a single sitting. Remember the S/L FIRESTARTER? He signed those over a period of four days. So he probably switched pens from day to day in this case. I wouldn't be surprised if there are copies with two black sigs and copies with two blue sigs, too.

Is there any difference between the signed and the 'normal' 1st US edition of DUMA KEY besides the sticker on the cover and the signature? I've always wondered about that.

FYI. Dolso makes (or did make) a very nice display case for this book. The case I have can either be displayed on a flatsurface or mounted to the wall.

I tried to update my bookcase, but I still need to get a good easel for The Stand. Then hopefully I can figure out a better way to display the S/Ls. Right now, it still looks a little haphazard.

Look around brother. I had one made by a local plastic fabricator. Not sure what "a decent angle (more perpendicular?)" is, but as long as the bottom support is deeper than the case, and the tilt is ~20 degrees or more, it should work.

Here's one for the book itself. the bottom shelf will need to be deeper to support the book and case together:

yeah, thats the problem, finding something with a really deep bottom support. And yes, more perpendicular, my copy of the Stand its on the top shelf so it needs to really "stand up" (excuse the pun)

It's best to have it fabricated (bespoked?). If the case/book is ~15 degrees, you might consider a lip on the base support, but be careful, you don't want the lip to over time scratch the lid.
