I like seeing the paperbacks, and the spines of the Startling Mystery Stories. Just give me the key to your storage locker and I'll make sure the rest of your collection is taken care of!

Thanks Brice. I've been reading and collecting SK books since 1979.

Right on! I started reading his books about '80 or '81. I started collecting much more recently.

I don't really remember for sure what the first hc I bought was. I (gently) read all my books, s/l included. If I loan out a HC though it's because it's one of my regular reading copies. There are not many people in my every day life that I like enough to loan my books to though.

I have a script for a FAR SIDE movie written by Alan Rudolph (FROM THE COMIC PANEL BY GARY LARSON) 11/1987 Just think how bad this movie would have been before todays CGI. Cows walking on there hind legs to ring the door bell ect. who knows the 1st script I have for Radioland Murders is Jan 1979 and was made in 1993 of course we are still waiting for The Talisman my 1985 Penguin paperbacks state on the back covers SOON TO BE A MAJOR FILM. JUST WHEN THE HELL IS SOON?

My favorite Far Side is where the one dog is saying to the other "Oh boy! Dog food - again!" For some reason that just makes me love dogs even more.

Of course, the one with the Time Machine that ran out of gas is pretty funny too...

Thanks! I actually have a Night Shift case (case 'G') even though I don't yet have a 1st of that book. When I was contacted about the Shining case, I didn't have enough money to grab it and I still don't. In fact, I may have to sell my Night Shift case soon if things don't pick up here in La-La Land. :scared:

Sorry "skyofcrack" I'm a registered and professional "Shill"!! LOL It's in my DNA. Meant no offense or disrespect.

Hello new friend! I like your collection very much, especially the fact that you seem to be collecting all the first appearances of his short stories. I do the same thing, and all of my girlfriend's Christmas presents this year had a first appearance in them: Shadows ("Nona"); Cemetery Dance, Fall 1992 ("Chattery Teeth"); and Stephen King Goes To The Movies (The five "Untitled Introduction"s to the stories and "My 10 Favorite Adaptions"). That, along with a first edition 11/22/63 and Playboy, December 2006 ("Willa") from my parents, I had a very King-y Christmas!

I am (slowly) working on the King's Short Works section of the website, please give it a look whenever you can. There's a lot of good info there. :)

Next up, magazines.

No. The CotC piece was given out during an advance screening of the film back in 1984. I grabbed an extra one to take home. I filled out a scathing one as I hated the movie.

Okay, I was just wondering because I have one for Pet Sematary that was part of a package for a radio spot for the movie with bits of soundtrack, inteviews, etc. Since it looked the same I thought there might be a similar package.
