I celebrate family on that day, and we have a lot to do this year.

I am so thankful I found my Dora, she is the best thing that ever happened to me.

Having T-Day with my in-laws on Thursday, then
on Friday heading out of town to see my grandmother and celebrate her 90th birthday.

Hope you all have good Thanksgiving!

I'm taking DBF to the airport on Turkey Day - he's going for 3 weeks in Africa.

I, on the other hand, will be painting my office, and primering his den.

Something tells me I got the short end of the stick, here.

I have a 7 year tradition of playing Football T-Day morning, where usually Im dancing in the inzone. Then I go to family house and give thanks. Which is followed up by me crashing friends family houses for more food and giving thanks. Thats usually wrapped up with drunken antics. All weekend long. I love T-DAY and wish you all the best!

We were going to be alone but now it seems the kids have canceled all their other plans (inlaws, ex) and decided to stay with us.

I need a bigger Turkey

Ruki

too bad you can't take ours, somehow we ended up with two and no one in the house likes turkey.

We have friends coming over and they told us they had a 12 pound Turkey. NOT ENOUGH! We went out and bought a 21 pounder - biggest one we could get. We love the leftovers. Turkey sandwiches - yum!

Even better I am off work all week - god I love getting 5 weeks vaca per year!

From Wikipedia - "Simultaneous penetration of the mouth and either the vagina or anus. If the penetrating objects are penises, this is sometimes called the "spit roast". The character Alyssa Jones in Chasing Amy acquired the nickname "finger cuffs" after participating in this act."

Co-sign, although the actual snowflakes didn't make it this far down state.

In the Big Apple it was mostly just sleet and cold rain, which kinda sucked.

Indeed SON...indeed.

So what is everyone thankful for?

I would have to put my wife and family at the top of the list but in the end, I believe I am most thankful for the fact that I am me.

I love me.

I'm staying in Richmond rather than travelling to my family's for Thanksgiving because I need a break from running around and everything related to school. I'd much rather take a few stress free days with no obligations than bother driving 3 1/2 hrs to my dad's house at this point.

So, I'm going to sit at home and not be thankful for anything.

Darkthoughts
11-21-2007, 03:13 PM
Is that a paradox...are you being thankful for nothing? :P

No, no. It isn't that I am thankful for nothing. It is that there is an absence of thankfulness.

You can be thankful for being thankful about not being thankful.

Well I would assume so as Kangaroo meat is widely available, and the skin is no longer on it :)

I thought so.

I remember how they mentioned that as one of the avocations in the stellar career arc of Jihadi Joe before the Yanks sent him on an all-expenses paid, five year-long vacation to Club Gitmo.

Apparently he thought 'The Proposition' was a documentary.

Mucho props to Nick Cave, BTW.

That guy kicks so much ass!
