Back to the topic, it's a shame that tree has been damaged so severely. It made the local news here a day after it happened. They ran a still from the film, then showed what was left of the tree.

That's a pity. It's a great story AND a great movie, a somewhat rare occurence. I hope the tree went to Tree Heaven or someplace similar.
