Perhaps the King portion will show up on Youtube and you can find it or have it e-mailed to you.

Well because of the WGA strike, all the late night talk shows have stopped production until it's over. Conan won't be on again for some time.

Some long time, by the sounds of it

Damn strikers, destroying our day

Jimmy

Those damn strikers are right for doing this. I support them fully and I hope that they get what they want.

Storyslinger

Oh, I wasn't implying that they weren't right, just that they should have waited until AFTER King was on Conan

Jimmy

I don't think Steve minds though. He's probably on the writers' side completely.

Storyslinger
11-08-2007, 07:43 AM
I'm sure he is

Jimmy

So everybody wins but the fans, but it's not about us anyway, so what can you do?

Storyslinger

Right, what can ya do?

do you think king will reschedule once the strike is over? It is sweeps right now, I bet the networks are totally sweating.

Storyslinger

The networks will be in very real danger if King doesn't rescedule

Jimmy

He was going to appear to promote The Mist and DT I'd bet. Once the strike is over, the movie could be on DVD for all we know, so at this point, it's highly doubtful.

I don't see the networks letting it go that far. Not months and months without screenwriters. They need their viewers so they can get advertising money. Without new scripts, viewership will drop off. American public can only take so many reruns. So I'm pretty sure the writers will be getting whatever they want within the next couple of weeks.

And if they don't, well it could be the best thing for the public. Imagine people actually NOT watching television and doing other things for a change. WOW!

So actually, it's a win-win for us.

If you are the type of person who can look at a world without Grey's Anatomy for a while, then yeah!

I really do feel bad for the writers and I think they are doing the right thing. I'm usually not all about strikes, and sometimes I think people just get too greedy, but in this case, the major networks ARE raping them and it's only going to get worse over time.

I know I watch a lot ABC shows on their website if I miss them on primetime or forget to tivo. I had no idea up until over a week ago that the writers weren't seeing any profit from those. And yes, I'm sure Allegra allergy medicine paid ABC a pretty penny to have that one ad rerun online continiously...

I've got my tivo set for that. :D

did he appear on it? I looked it up before I went to bed but it said it was a repeat so I didn't bother setting the vcr.
