I'm not sure if it is a right place for that but i'll give it a try...

I'm working on a paper about the world created by S. King, and i'm looking for any materials (articles, photos, scans etc.) about:
- real places that inspired King (like Durham=Castle Rock, Bangor=Derry, photos, articles)
- works about fictional placec from tha books (like Castle Rock history or something like this)
- anything that might help me

I already have the Yankee magazine with "Stephen King's Main".
I know about a book "Stephen King Country" but i don't own it - too bad

If anyone has something and want's to share with me please let me know

Pennywise lives in the barrens of Derry?

No I do not have anything substantial to give you right now but I will reflect upon what I know and try to get back to you (this thread). Sounds like an interesting project and I wish you best of luck with it!

How much longer do you have to complete it? Like you mentioned, Stephen King Country would be an excellent resource for your paper. I've read it and can attest that it has much of the info. you're probably looking for. If you can afford to burn some more time, I'd suggest finding a used copy over on www.abebooks.com or a similar site, and ordering it. It would only benefit you!

Awesome. I got started on these websites with a similar project, lo, now many years ago. :)
There's this, first -- http://www.stephenking.com/images/map_of_maine.jpg (http://www.stephenking.com/images/map_of_maine.jpg) ...highly interesting. Notice, though, that it leaves out some cool settings, such as Ludlow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludlow,_Maine), where Pet Semetary took place.

i've already have that map (and the previous version)...

as for the time - i have 3 more weeks for that...
I'll try to get a copy of that book, but usually shipping cost (to Poland) is killing me ;)

anyone have something more?
