I doubt In Treatment will get a fair trial here against Torchwood, but it's an amazingly well-done series. The acting is sublime. I voted IT.

Haven't seen In Treatment, so I probably won't vote in this round, even though I like Torchwood a lot. The first season was pretty weak though, but the second was where it started to get really good (no surprise you put up Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang instead of premiere ep Everything Changes pablo: you can see the writing is much more confident in season two from KKBB alone), and Children of Earth is some of the best adult science fiction I've watched, even if it is incredibly difficult to watch at times because it's so dark and depressing. I hope the New World is just as good as CoE, I really do.

This isn't fair for In Treatment at all. It just isn't. :(

May Paul Weston analyze your dreams in HELL torchwood fans.

What I'm more surprised about is that Torchwood is having a much easier time against a heavily praised show like In Treatment, whereas original (and better) show Doctor Who that Torchwood spun off from in the first place came close to losing to the Jetsons. As I've admitted, I'm a fan of Torchwood, but where is the logic, people?

That show is constantly on BBC America, but I've never checked it out because I've always been under the impression it's strictly for sci-fi fans. Have heard good things about "In Treatment," and am a huge fan of Gabriel Byrne, so I might check that out the next time I swing by my local library.

Ruthful, it's a different type of series, but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Actually, Torchwood is a little bit different compared to the usual scifi stuff. It's not a show that takes itself seriously really, and any show that has two awesome guys snogging one minute and then beating the crap out of each other the next is definitely different to the usual scifi stuff. I'll be honest, the first season was pretty weak imo, with lead character Captain Jack being the only thing that made me keep watching, but the 2nd has got some really well written stories, and third series Children of Earth is just 5 hours of tv perfection. Check it out, if you can (as long as it's not the first season, as that just aimed too much for "like Doctor Who but with sex, violence and swearing". It's only the second season that it gets good as it starts to define itself properly as its own show).

Ugh, so sad. There's no hope for In Treatment now...

No hope at all, I'm afraid. I just recently re-watched and should be catching up on In Treatment in a week :D
