J&W appears to be popular in Russia :)

It is :)

Possibly because at one time it was relatively frequently shown on TV.

NYPD Blue.
Loved it.
Loved it.
Loved it.
( except the Caruso episodes - those sucked )

Sincerely, it's the first time I hear about it being shown here... but I it's true that I hardly ever watch any TV at all

Jean, you'd be surprised how many US and UK series have been on our TV at some point or other :) "Lost", too, BTW (although not sure whether all seasons or not)
Myself, I am very seldom able to watch any series episode by episode - at least not any of those that are shown in prime time. But the likes of "StarTrek TNG" or "StarGate" or "Babylone 5" have usually been on air late at night, so those I did see. Other series, I usually catch a few episodes - enough to make up my mind if I want to watch something or not.

I am not surprised

I am awestruck...

Yep, for all the bad things to be said about our TV (and there are a lot), it does have its sane moments.
Or, should I say, it DID - now our TV businessmen prefer making our own series - more often than not based on the concepts from US series (e.g. "Побег" - which I am not going to watch - is based on "Prison Break").

Gah, that just made me realize Prison Break wasn't nominated...

Or Nurse Jackie...

Oh well. Maybe we can do this again when the 2010s wind down :excited:

I loved NYPD Blue. It was pretty groundbreaking for the time...bare-assed men on network television and all.
(and it wasnt just the bare asses that kept me watching!)
So, NYPD Blue got my vote.
I've never seen Wooster and Jeeves, although I do have the DVD series on hold at the library. Love the Wodehouse books...

I can't believe J&W is losing... is it because people didn't see it, or because they didn't like it?...

ladysai :rose: - if you love Wodehouse, you must have a go at the series. First the characters may not fit into the mental picture you already have, but then you'll be fascinated. It's really, really good: even though I read the books long before I saw the series; or that I never really understood television.

Woot! Jeeves and Wooster are ready for pickup at the library! It will be an evening of Britcom at our house. :D

I really enjoyed Jeeves and Wooster, but honestly I feel NYPD Blue was a better show. Very dramatic and the writing was excellent.
