This is a revised version of Bob Dylans"All Along The Watchtower"that I've been toying around with.Any input or feedback is encouraged. No copyright infrigements intended.

"There must be some kind of way out of here!"
Said the Crimson King
"There's to much confusion.
I control everything!
Can-toi man they drink my wine
And try to rule my earth
None will level on the line, nobody offered his word,EEEEEEEE!"

"No reason to get excited"
Flagg he blindly spoke
"There are many here among us
Who feel the Tower's but a joke(Bwah ha ha)
But you and I we've been through that
And it is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now,
The hour is getting late."

All along the Dark Tower
Taheen kept the view
While all the Breakers came and went
And robot servants too.

Outside in the cold distance
A spider boy did growl
Four riders were approaching:shoot:
And the bumbler began to howl.:rose:

It's a rough draft but I like it.What do you think?

Thanks Velcro I appreciate it.I think I will be using this thread to showcase music that ties in with The Dark Tower(In my opinion) and maybe some random lyrics by me.I invite eveyone to do the same.I still feel like this one could flow a little better in some parts but overall I think it is a pretty cool interpretation of a classic tune. Thanks for the feedback man!

This one is by The Grateful Dead. This one is interesting when using Ka as a referance point, allmost seems like Ka is speaking directly to Roland. The lyrics seem fit TDT comparison stronger without the music in my opinion but I love this song and band.

"The Wheel"

The wheel is turning and you can't slow down,
You can't let go and you can't hold on,
You can't go back and you can't stand still,
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will.

Won't you try just a little bit harder?
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?
Won't you try just a little bit harder?
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?

Round, round robin(Roland)come around, got to get back to where you belong,
Al little bit harder and a little bit more,
A little bit further than you gone before.

The wheel is turning and you can't slow down,
Can't let go and you can't hold on,
You can't go back and you can't stand still,
If the thunder don't get ya than the lightning will

Small wheel turn by the fire and rod,
Big wheel turn by the grace of God,
Every time that wheel turn round,
Bound to cover just a little more ground(Bound to cover just a little more ground!!)

The wheel is turning and you can't slow down,
Can't let go and you can't hold on,
Can't go back and you can't stand still,
If the thunder don't get ya than the lightning will!

Won't you try just a little bit harder?
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?
Won't you try just a little bit harder?
Roland can you try just a little bit more???

I just thought i would add this, its a song by Canadian band The Tragically Hip, when I hear the lyrics I think of Roland. Just thought I'd share.

Come in, come in, come in, come in
from under these darling skies come in
it's warm and it's safe here and almost harkening
off to a time and place now lost in our imagination

where you don't complain- but you still do
and you don't explain-but you still want to-explain
where you believe what you say without shame, 'I just do'
to say what you mean you don't mean what you say
-or you do

where the wild are strong
and the strong are the darkest ones
and you're the darkest one

Come in, come in, come in, come in
from thin and wicked prarie winds, come in
it's warm and it's safe here and almost heartening
here in a time and place not lost in our imagination

where you don't explain-but you still do
and you can complain-if you want to-complain
where you're real instrumental or supple
or sexy as hell
where you say "I believe" or say without shame
'I can't tell'

where the wild are strong
and the strong are the darkest ones
and you're the darkest one
O' and you're the darkest one
and if that's what you want
O' then you're the darkest one

One more thing in common: I have a whole thread of dark tower related tributes under Parodies you can feel free to add to at any time. :) Love doing those tributes and reading them!

This next tune was written by Guillarmo Bright and Jimmy Cliff.Mr. Jerry Garcia introduced it to me as he covered it throughout his life.I was doing some more thinking about songs that my mind can relate to TDT and this one popped into my head.I started thinking of of Father Callahan.:rose:I can almost imagine him and he's sitting on a rock under a tree in the Calla singing this song(if he was a singer)......waiting for the tide to roll.

Sitting Here In Limbo

Sitting here in limbo, like a bird without a song
Sitting here in limbo, but I know it won't be long
Well, they're putting up resistance
But I know my faith will lead me on

Sitting here in limbo, waiting for the tide to roll
Sitting here in limbo, knowing that I have to go
Well,they're putting up resistance
But I know my faith will lead me on

I don't know what life will show me
But I know what I've seen
I don't know where life will lead me
But I know where I've been

Tried my hand at love and friendship
But all that is past and gone
This little boy is moving on

Sitting here in limbo, waiting for the dice to roll
Sitting here in limbo, got some time to search my soul
Well they're putting up resistance
But I know my faith will lead me on

I don't know what life will show me
But I know what I've seen
I can't see where life will lead me
But i know where I've been

Tried my hand at love and friendship
But all that is past and gone
This little boy is moving on

Sitting here in limbo, waiting for the dice to roll
Sittin here in limbo, got some time to search my soul
While they're putting up resistance
But I know my faith will lead me on

While they're putting up resistance
But I know my faith will lead me on
