Unbreakable was the very first movie my wife and I ever watched on DVD. Prior to that everything was VHS. We watched Split last year on our DVR.
I had heard rumor that he was making a sequel to Unbreakable but I didn't realize it was already done or that he was intertwining Split into it.

Hey, I even liked (loved, really) Lady In The Water; I'm pretty sure I was the only one who did.
I think I do like everything he's done; from what I see on imdb.com, the exceptions are:
- Praying With Anger, which I haven't seen
- The Village, which I guess was ok, but pushed me a bit too far.

This is one of my most anticipated films of the year. Jeremy Saulnier's previous films Green Room and Blue Ruin are two of my favorite films of the decade.

I was gonna post it but I'm weird about posting Netflix trailers here specifically. I know it's wrong but feels like TV movies. I mean in general with Netflix movies. Though some of their films do get limited theatrical releases or they acquire them from various festivals. And I'm sure I've included some Netflix films on my top of the year lists. I dunno... I wish Netflix would release them in theaters if only for a couple of weeks, and then put them up for streaming.

I wish they would get a theatrical release too, but Mudbound is a Netflix film and it got nominated for Best Picture last year.
Also, did you post the Sister Brothers trailer yet? I can't wait for that one.

To be completely honest, I wasn't really all that impressed with the first Creed movie. I had started watching it on my own, then stopped about halfway through. Didn't finish it until months later when my friend (who's also a big Rocky fan) came over and wanted to watch it. He shares my opinion as well.
Just for the record, I didn't post that one because I tend not to watch second (and subsequent) trailers for movies :)

For those not in the know, Will Smith is the new voice of Genie in the live action version of Aladdin.
Disney has done a nice job with these live action versions. I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. As you mentioned, you can't top the performance Robin Williams turned in. It's impossible. The best bet is for Smith to do his own thing.

I never saw any of the Jungle Book live action movies but did watch the Beauty and the Beast one. It wasn't bad but as usually is the case, the original was better.
Honestly, I have nothing against Will Smith. I really like him as a actor and have enjoyed many of his movies. But I just cannot see him in this role. I'm not sure who would ever be able to come close to filling Robin's shoes though.
I remember reading a review of Suicide Squad one time and when they were talking about Deadshot they said he was just too "Will Smith". Which was a pretty good way of describing it.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

Of all the Pixar movies and sequels, the Toy Story trilogy has always been my favorite. IMO, both sequels were as good if not better than the original movie. That's really difficult to do.
We just watched The Incredibles 2 last night. It was good, but the first one was better. Same with Cars, Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo. The Wreck it Ralph sequel looks good from the trailers so far, but we'll see.

Not everyday you see a movie based around bowling.
Definitely one of my passions. I've been doing it since I could pick up a ball and luckily I managed to get one of my daughters to follow in my footsteps. She's been bowling for about 10 years now and is in her third year of bowling for HS. The varsity team also happens to be the 2-time National Champions.

Yeah, there aren't a ton of bowling movies. The Big Lewbowski comes to mind, although it's not really about that... it's not really about anything. Kingpin is probably the main one I can think of.
I like bowling, but it's more of a casual thing at this point. I want to start doing it more seriously. I know how huge it is in the middle of the country. I have friends in Toledo and it's a huge part of their lives. One of my friends has bowled 30+ 300 games already and he's only 28.

I'm not sure if anyone saw the original Serenity trailer that came out months ago. It was pretty standard thriller, love triangle stuff. I had interest mainly because of the cast involved, but I didn't think there was anything that stood out from similar films. Then the newest trailer was released and I must say, it seems like a completely different film now.

I know nobody will ever be able to replace Robin Williams and it's possible that he'll prove me wrong but I still don't think Will Smith is the right person for this role.
I really like him as an actor all the way back to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but this just doesn't feel right.

Pixar makes some wonderful movies but more often than not, it seems to me that their sequels never quite match up to the level of the original. Cars 2, The Incredibles 2, Monsters University...
Although they did a good job with the Toy Story trilogy and although I haven't seen the 2nd Wreck it Ralph, I've heard it's pretty good.
Frozen and Wreck It Ralph are nor Pixar movies, actually, they're just plain Walt Disney, like Aladdin or Beauty and the Beast.

Eh... they're all under the same umbrella since Pixar is owned by Disney anyway.
If I were to include all the not-so-great Disney sequels the list would get much longer. Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast would be included. Although I think both of their sequels were direct-to-video.

This franchise is getting as bad as the other big name horror ones. Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Halloween. They stretch them out for years with sequel after sequel until they finally re-boot the entire thing. I haven't actually seen who's doing the voice for Chucky yet. It will be weird if they get someone else as the guy that has been the voice for all the other movies is so distinctive.
Kinda like when they switched out Robert England for Jackie Earle Haley.

The Long Shot looks good. I believe it was originally titled Flarsky.
I noticed Iwritecode posted the Yesterday trailer. As a Beatles fan, I'm really looking forward to that one. I think has a really cool premise. Plus, it's directed by Danny Boyle.

I liked the live action Beauty and the Beast (although like my daughters pointed out it was odd casting an English actress to portray a French girl) but I still think I'm going to have a hard time with Will Smith as the genie. Other than that, it looks pretty good.
Will Smith when he's not all blue looks and sounds okay. It's obviously never going to be Robin Williams. And if casting an English actress to portray a French girl is odd, then it's much odder to have Jasmine, who's Middle Eastern, portrayed by a Brirish-Indian actress. She looks fine in the role, I think, but having someone from the actual area would've been better. There are plenty of great (and pretty) young Middle Eastern actresses. The guy playing Aladdin is Egyptian and looks uncannily like the animated version.

That may be what it is. Robin Williams will always and forever be the voice of Genie and nobody else will ever compare. We'll see how he does I guess.

Honestly, I think it was her accent that was the biggest problem. Not necessarily her look. I know in the original Disney cartoon she didn't really have a french accent, but she didn't have an English one either. :P
