Poetry and lyrics can be both fiction and nonfiction, and when you're talking about fiction and nonfiction, most of the time you're talking about prose. So, I would think they would go in their own section. I will do a poetry subsection and a miscellaneous section for all the recipes, puzzles, etc.

    Thanks guys!
    Looking good, Shannon.

You might even consider a subsection just for the Pop of King articles since there are so many of them.

Good idea, but the subject matter isn't important to me. If I did that, I'd then want to make a subsection for all the Intros, all the Afterwords, all the nonfiction works with the word green in them, etc.

This is very hands. I'd separate the excerpts into their own subsection maybe? And the same with the introductions and the like. Also, there should be a "Collected in" field along with the first appearance, I think.

Separating the entries on the table of content into subject matter or publication or TYPE of story or TYPE of non fiction doesn't make sense to me. Classifying every entry into something smaller would only leave lots of very small sections. If that were the case, there would be no need for a table of contents.

As far as the "Collected in"/"Subsequent appearances" sections, i like the idea a lot. When i first started doing these, i included the info, but it just got to be too much. Too much unverified info, you know? If i had a way of getting the info, other than Justin brooks' books, i would do it. Any ideas?

I'm happy with the divisions you've done. Trying to sub-divide those wouldn't be THAT helpful.

Nice work Shannon.. I agree you don't want a lot of small sections.. You asked for ideas, I always thought that it would be nice to have a Brooks index from the book "Pri Bio of the the world's most popular author".. Not sure how hard that would be, but it would pull nearly all the indexes into one. As for other ideas, I use to index all by fiction short stories by collections, i.e night shift, different seasons, ... uncollected. This work very well for many years until the collections got to be too many.. That's when the Brook's book was published, and I switched to his indexing... great work..

Hello RIC, always up for ideas. Not sure exactly what you're suggesting. You're talking about putting things in order to coincide with the Brooks book? As in

    A1. People, Places, and Things-Volume 1
    A2. Carrie
    A3. 'Salem's Lot

or the one in the rear of the book as in

"'86 Was Just the Ticket" C204.
"'86 Was Just the Ticket:Right Formula, Wrong Result" See "'86 Was Just the Ticket" C204.
    "1408" C204.

    ???

Either way, the first one is done separating the titles into Fiction, Nonfiction, etc. sections and then doing them by chronological order. Once I get everything done (if ever), I plan on doing a chronological order Table Of Contents as well. And the second one, where everything is all in one big Index (I think this is what you're describing), I originally did that, but everyone wanted it to be split up into sections. I obliged, and I think it looks better this way. If you want it in alphabetical order, everything from to to bottom, here you go:

    Thanks. :)

P.S. I keep saying that I will be adding more entires, but I can never quite find the time. More coming soon, eventually, promise! lol

One suggestion is that you identify, as you have done, which book the "Introduction" was in. That's a big failing in Justin's book.

If one has an 'upgraded' pic for a magazine cover, how would they upload it, or otherwise get it to the page?
