    The Stand. Absolutely.

Is there something significant about the date?

Yes. The story begins on September 5th, 1975 so I always begin my annual re-read on that date.

I can respect that. Though for myself, I could never allow myself to read any book 35 times. That is just too much time reading one book when there is sooooooo much that I have not read.

'Salem's Lot. It was a really hard decision, and I believe The Stand to be a better book, but it's so damn hard to find a good vampire novel these days
Finished The Dark Tower at 6:03AM on December 21, 2009.

The man in black fled across the desert,
    and the gunslinger followed.
