Man...I really want this film to be good enough to rake in the big bucks. A sequel set mostly, or, hell, EXCLUSIVELY in Mid-World sounds like a dream. On top of that, a well-animated Oy requires a healthy budget for CGI and/or animatronics.

If The Dark Tower was done in a "300" type format, Roland would be the Gay Cowboy from the Village People with a heavy chinese accent, Susannah would randomly break out into some erotic pole dancing and the entire film would be shot in some dark grey-light-grey-brown-nondescript environment, and after 4 long hours of slow motioned (and fake) violence, Roland would have just left Tull.

What I find particularly humorous are the trolls telling people okay with or even enthusiastic about the trailers we've seen thus far that they're too emotional. Of course, their (the trolls) behaving akin to stereotypical bratty five-year olds as they tear every little thing displayed to shreds is the height of emotionless rationality.

Where is the location the new trailer opens on? The lush town on a mesa with the pyramid. Algul Siento? Doesn't have much of a college campus look as described in the novels, but it's the only place that really stands out form the surrounding landscape like that as well.
