I am not really sure. It is a very weird feeling, not to be outnumbered - last time was when we voted James Stewart as the best actor of all times - then again, if you voted for The Shining over It, there must be some concealed treasure I failed to discover in that book (much as I liked it; not exceedingly so, though).Jean, It will still win certainly, so my pitiful vote does nothing anyway

I'd say about 25% of It is better than anything in The Shining. However, overall I enjoyed The Shining more. So it gets my vote.

Yay, i read both of these! I think the Shining was a better book, but i liked IT more. My vote goes towards IT.

I love It but I don't pull it off the shelf every year like I do The Shining. The Shining gets my vote.
Both amazing, but It was a richer experience for me.

I never even noticed that part. I guess for me it's the same thing either way. I'm more inclined to read my favorite one of the two first.
Same here. Although say I just finished rereading It, I'm still going to vote for it over another as I feel it's the superior book.
