Welp, here's the rest of my list that I didn't get to. Nothing really ground-breaking or important that got left out. Like I said before the noms started, mostly just movies that make me laugh.

    Hot Shots! Part Deux
    National Lampoons Loaded Weapon 1
    Major League 2
    Rookie of the Year
    Angels in the Outfield
    D2: The Mighty Ducks
    D3: The Mighty Ducks
    Demolition Man
    Mr. Baseball
    Freeway
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?

Can someone do an audit for me? I have 255 films on my list. Not sure what I missed. I'm about to walk out the door.

You had 256 movies, it was your numbering that was off. You had 231 twice.

Sleepless in Seattle should be at 240
    Fear should be at 241
    The Client at 256

    Total will then be 256

I believe the final list is a really wonderful encapsulation of a truly great decade of film. When I first thought back to the '90s I didn't realize just how good this time was for movies. Plus there just is something particular about the look and feel of these movies, but I guess the same can be said for any decade. And I think we have a really good representation of different genres and types of films. What's exciting is that our voting from Round 1 till The Final will allow us to rank these 256 titles in order so my hope is that this becomes the ultimate list for the decade, and that we can repeat this process for each of the other decades of cinema.

Also, I'm pleased it took us exactly two weeks. Not too quick and not too long; just right. Hopefully we can keep to that in the future.

I think I got about 25 movies in so I can't complain some didn't get it. But Bridges of Madison Country, Affliction, and best picture nominee Secrets and Lies didn't get in :'( And that makes me a sad panda.

The interesting thing to know wold be the number of films these actors are in. I imagine it would be a very difficult task though.

Awesome. Ready to start the tournament on Monday! I'm actually happy with how long it took us to do the nominations process, too. Like Mae said, not too long, not too short. I'm also happy with the variety of films on our list--Comedy, Action, Drama. And our sandbox has remained pretty peaceful, I think. Now, off to count how many of these nominations I've actually seen!

Well, I've seen exactly 50 films on our list (I didn't include the ones I've only seen parts of). Keep in mind I was born in '92, so most of you have a leg up on me.

I think we did a great job with the nominating of these films. It's a wide cross section. I can't wait to have that master list you mentioned. I'd like to put it on my website for archival purposes.

Before the tournament, I compiled a list of my favorite films of the 90s. There are a 146 films on that list. Of those 146 films, 121 of them made it into the tournament. That's 82%.

The only films I nominated that didn't get in were Toy Soldiers and Radio Flyer. My hope is these didn't get in because people don't like them, but because not enough people are familiar with them. If that's the case, please be sure to see them.

Other films on my list that were never nominated: Courage Under Fire, Man Bites Dog, Demolition Man, Cliffhanger, The Good Son, Gremlins 2, Kindergarten Cop, Navy Seals, Arachnophobia, Memphis Belle, New Jack City, Alive, This Boy's Life, Congo, Executive Decision, Ghosts of Mississippi, What's Eating Gilbert Grape and Barton Fink.

Films on my list that were nominated, but not seconded: Tommy Boy, City Slickers.

We should be proud of ourselves, we nominated over 325 films. That's impressive.

And earlier I posted my list of 100 that I whittled down from my nearly 400-title longlist. There were still plenty of good or even great films on there but you can't get everything in. I think the cross section is pretty spot on for all types of movies and it's going to be so much fun voting on these. I can't wait to start! I hope participation in the voting process will be on par with our previous tournaments, so hopefully around 20-30 active voters.

It's crazy because I'm still adding films that I forgot. I can't believe I forgot about the early Paul Thomas Anderson classic Hard Eight.

Also, I'm taking a crack at the actor thing you challenged. We will see if I can follow through.

I've watched 134 of the movies on this list completely and seem part of alot of the others. There are quite a few 90s films that I could have nominated that I liked but weren't necessarily "great." Of course my junior high, high school, and half my college years were in the 90s. So it was the decade that most shaped who I am. I still listen to Lithium (90s alternative rock) on my satellite radio.
