it was a very fun event and well worth the 8 hour round trip drive. I was able to meet Ari, David and a couple of others from the board but I couldn't catch their screen names.
My mule SURLY was a blast tonight! If you ever need a mule I highly recommend him! Surly. I will buy all your beer next time. Thank You!
Explorer helped out Lot Guy and both mules are greatly appreciated we will be sending our mules thank you gifts soon. Carrots on a stick?
Was a really great event....Stephen and Joe's chemistry was really strong and BOTH seemed quite relaxed.
I know I will forget some people but saw Roseanne Barr, Lot Guy, Explorer, Surly, Shaq, Ari, Tippy, Beverly Marsh, Garrell, Aramag, Susie + friends, a local CT guy I know Jay....there were more I am sure and apologies to anyone I missed...it is too early in the morning for a clear head.
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Anyone out their want to help a girl out, who’s ticket got cancelled, with an extra signed copy of The Institute?
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
What a blast last night was! Even waiting in line was fun. We got there at one and proceeded to be entertained by Glenn the entire time(you should be a stand up comedian!) Got to meet Jim(surly) and Jim(explorer) along with Rick, Matt, and Ari! Great to see David again.
People flew in from Australia, England, and obviously Argentina, for this and I think they got their money's worth. King and Hill were funny and played off each other so well. They told great stories and thankfully kept politics mostly out of it. Pure escapism entertainment. They read from each others respective(bestselling!)books and you could see the mutual respect, love, and admiration they have for each other. We ended up in the second row and I was lucky enough to get one of the random signed Institutes! Unforgettable day and evening.
Did either of them read anything new (exept from their new books)?
Is there really no photos online from the event? Nothing? Not even a blurry picture of Steves foot?

It was worth every mile / penny and frozen limb to see last nights talk! Big thanks to Glenn, Susie, Shirley, Jim and Matt for helping the long hours fly by....I thought it was great to see the two of them interact and thought it was all full of heart. I didn’t get a signed copy of The Institute so if anyone selling just shout! Email me sarbedford@gmail.com but if I don’t I took heart from Joe saying he was reading it with his wife...I’m going to take my unsigned copy and read with my son so sticky fingers won’t matter!
I have some good pics but not sure how to post yet....also SK retweeted me this morning so I’m a bit excited about that and Joe used my pic for Insta 🙌🏻 Happy Days
Screenshot that and frame it.
Congrats Sally-Anne, I just saw it on twitter, that's fantastic!
Looks like it was an epic night, hope they will put the video online somewhere at some point.

I just watched the video on YouTube. What a great night it must have been. Congrats to those who attended.
I must say my favourite part was Joe’s reading from The Institute. When King reads his own work, he gives it a certain cadence, a certain voice, that is very distinctive. Joe gave it that same cadence, and I think that anyone listening to it would know it was King’s work.
