Just out of curiosity, what is a signed copy of Sleeping Beauties going to sell for, in case I don't get Sarasota tickets?

Purely conjecture on my part, but I would estimate $375 out the gate, possibly a little more.
It,ll peter down to $175 ish after awhile.

I agree. Not sure of $375 out of the gate, but prices will go down. There are people who will be attending multiple events and will obtain signed copies. Quote me, but I doubt 1 year from today that they fetch more than $225.

I agree 100%. Two signatures and if it's a great book.... maybe $250... but no more

I'm seriously shocked to hear only 3 posted getting tickets, interesting....

I'm still holding out hope I scored at least one. I sent two emails from different accounts as soon as the clock on my computer hit 8am. I figured I would be a shoe-in, unless their computer clock was slower than mine

Seems like they are dribbling out. I wouldn't fret (and then it wouldn't do any good) until they post on FB that all notices have been sent out.

DAMN... Also figured I timed to be a shoe-in however no confirmation msg for me.
Wife got a confirmation so can't feel too, too bad. Still have hope.
BUT also HAVE FEAR OF CHECKING B&N FB page.

I would of course reimburse you the cost and extra for your efforts.
I've pre-ordered two from the UK amazon... but that's a crap shoot, and I'm guessing with my luck, they'll turn up with the same exact cover design.

I pre-ordered 8 from UK Amazon to increase my chances Probably will be all the same as well. My UK dealer is also going to pick up the variants for me if he can locate 'em. Trying to cover all the bases. Any duplicates I'll offer here.

Both my friend and I tried in hopes one of us got to finally see him but neither was successful.
Guess living in Sarasota doesn't help your chances to see him when he comes to Sarasota.

Without sounding rude... your only dissatisfied with how it was offered because you didn't get tickets. I'm really not sure how they could have sold them to appease everyone. One chap on Facebook said they got over 4000 emails! I am sure many were people trying to get multiple tickets though. The thing I didn't agree with was only getting one ticket. Made for a nail bitter when the wife got in and I still had not. Should have been two as you always travel with a guest. Sorry you didn't get one either way though.

I thought it was ridiculous from the start even if I had gotten tickets.
Why not offer the people that live here a chance to purchase the tickets like every other stop on the tour.
Some of us can't afford to travel out of state for a book signing so when the opportunity comes to see them in your home town and it's taken by those people it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
Oh well. You win some you lose some.
But glad you and your wife got tickets.
