"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
Sold out very quickly, woe. I managed to snag a copy.
I agree - Swan Song is for me one of the great novels from the horror boom of the 80s. Loved it then and love it now.
I was able to grab a copy.

I'm in the middle - I didn't love Swan Song, but I can list several good things about it, I remember some characters fondly (Josh is my man), I believe it'll make a fun special edition (SP's illustrations look cool), and I would recommend it to anyone seeking out apocalyptic material (and for anyone afraid that it's a copy of The Stand - it's not).
Eastasia has always taught college students to feel pride or shame according to their race.
Dark Regions Press has a few copies if anyone missed it and wanted one.

Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
Didn't even try for this one. I really have a dislike for these anniversary editions of signed limited editions of books that have already been done, and done quite well. The Dark Harvest signed limited of Swan Song is gorgeous and is still quite collectable. These anniversary editions seem like money grabs that end up devaluing the original books.
Well publishing is a business, it's collecting that's not.
Have there been any updates on The Weight of Words? Haven't seen anything.....

I know its a long shot but does anyone have a slipcase for the Sub Press Nos4a2 available?
Probably a dumb question - but, I was there the second the new Ellison book came online, put both the lettered and trade in my cart, typed all my credit card, etc., information, then when I went to finalize the order was told the lettered was not available. Less then 3 minutes after it was put up. The question is - once a book is in the "cart", doesn't that mean that it's yours unless you bow out for some reason, and then it becomes available to the next customer? I was so ticked off I'm not even going to buy the trade edition.

Most shopping carts do not secure your items before purchase - except for items like tickets. It's always best to be logged in and have your payment info saved in situations like this.

As becca said, it really depends on how the website is created, but most of them wont hold an item until the actual sale

This was the actual sale, though. I was there when the sight changed, and the book came up for pre-order, my fingers vibrating like tuning forks above the keys to order it, sweat streaming down my brow, hissing as they hit my red-hot fingernails, my heart palpitating and trying to beat a hole out of my chest, my credit card melting from the intensity of my gaze upon its embossed numbers, my very soul quivering in anticipation of possessing this marvelous book and then.....
Spoiler:
Later...okay, I'm over it now. Where are my opioids anyway???
