I notice that the Lettered edition is already sold out. Glad I preordered this several months back when I had the chance. Looks like the general public never got an opportunity to buy it, am I correct?

    You must be.
When I received the CDCC6 notice yesterday, the lettered was already gone.
I guess they were all spoken for, just like the lettered PS Kingbooks.

I agree that I'm pumped this is heading to the printer so soon and I have to get greedy also and state that I can't wait to hear more about Night Shift. I'm really excited to see Mark's artwork. Also looking forward to finding out who the mystery artist is for the last book.

Brian, Do you guys plan on keeping the gift editions at 3000 copies for the rest of the books in the series or will that change based on how well Salem's Lot sold and how well The Shining will sell?

King's office said to use the Whispers text, so it is the same.

The print runs will remain the same for all of the books.

I'm really excited about the interior artwork for NIGHT SHIFT. Illustrations for every story by an artist who really "gets" the mood of the book. His sketches have been nicer than some of the finished artwork I've seen people turn in. Here's a sample and please remember it is just an early sketch:

    Hi Brian,

Will there be an opportunity to purchase Don Maitz and Glenn Chadbourne remarques for The Shining?

I'm guessing it's probably ok to say this now that the cat is out of the bag so to speak. I'm betting the lettereds were first offered to the folks who started with Carrie, etc. Then any remaining were probably snatched up by CDCC members when the early bird announcement was made back in December. I ordered my AE on December 3 according to the telltale purchase confirmation.

I sincerely wish Kings office would agree to a book to cap off the set... doesn't have to be big at all but just tells the stories of how these first books all came to be... have King sign that one.. bring the set together with a nice red bow

Not sure, but it might sell a little faster than 'Salem's Lot given the prologue and the fact that it's almost ready for the printer. The Gift Edition is now 50% sold out and there are around 100 copies of the Numbered Artist Edition left.

It is true that you guys specialize in horror 'cause this just scared me enough that I'm not waiting for my Sunday payday. Order placed!

Probably not a bad idea, Chris. Just curious, did ya go for the GE or AE? Either is a great choice for any of these books.

Went with the GE. The wife is willing to indulge me, but I know better than to push my luck!
Besides, with 4 Joe Hill events in my neck of the woods in the next month or so, I need to make sure I have a little on-hand cash. Those kazoo's may be pricey!!!

Oh Crap! After reviewing I don't think I do have the Shining Lettered pre-ordered. I was able to preorder the remaining Lettereds because I had ordered the Shinning, but I don't see that in my order list. So I must have gotten that special offer by mistake. Looks like I will have to buy it on the second hand market.

And I was hopping to match letters too. (Letter Y).

    Crap! Crap! Crap!

Oh well, and least I noticed my mistake in time to preorder the gift and artist editions.

I asked if we could include the text as a bonus feature in the book. I emphasized that we didn't mean to restore it at the beginning of the book because I assumed that would definitely be a "no." The reply I received was, "Sure, and why don't you put it back at the beginning where it belongs?" I agreed that was a fine idea.
