Hopefully they aren't shipping SL in numerical order since I've got the #7 set, you'd think I'd have it! I really don't know if I should inquire with Nicky or not yet.
Thanks, Frik. We get there in the end . . . and we're kinda cute, don'cha think.
For the record, I believe we're pretty much caught up on individual orders so if you haven't received yours (and this is to anyone) at the end of next week then do drop a line to editor@pspublishing.co.uk
Have a fantastic weekend, folks!
Pete
You have a great weekend as well, Pete.
Good morning/afternoon to all.
Carrying on from my last post on PS Publishing and the lettered Carrie and Thinner. Would they be books for the future, where an expensive purchase now appears so cheap in 5 years time?
It seems that Patz Hobby Emporium seem to agree with me, listing a lettered Carrie at $10,000 or offers. We probably all think he will be fortunate to realise the high price, even so with 25% off, if it sells, the indication would be strong in favour of some still considering it a firm investment and also a book that enhances any collection. So far it seems that the purchasers of only one copy are not rushing to return their outlay, perhaps very few will show themselves on the resale market. Only time will tell.
I await the outcome with interest.
Kindest regards
Alec.
That's an interesting, yet highly optimistic supposition.
I received my copies yesterday and it's one of the nicest editions I ever saw! GREAT JOB, PETE! More than happy with the edition! Just one tiny suggestion: use illustration paper for the illustrations if possible. Artwork would "glow" more.

I guess now that people have their copies, anyone want to have a CD vs PS? They're both pretty much opposite of each other in looks, size, feel, etc... which I'm really glad of.
If PS does It, they should do it like Salem's with multiple books in a slipcase so as to be totally opposite of the CD version again.

I don't think CD has shipped their copies yet??? I'm really looking forward to my copy of 'Salem's.
On another note, in the newsletter today Pete discussed this short film based on his story by the guys that did Stranger Things. I found it online and it's great.

Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
I just got my PS copy. I went back and forth on buying it because I wasn't that impressed with the earlier PS editions, but it's Salems Lot
My thoughts: I like the CD version a lot better. I like the larger size, and the paper and slipcase are of higher quality. I also prefer the art of CD's version. That said, the three-book approach by PS is creative and gives it a different look. I will probably keep both, but if someone made me choose, it would be the CD edition.

Becca. I ordered the PS version through CD to keep my matching number. I was told they weren't going out yet and that was a couple weeks ago. It would be nice to get some clarification though on when CD thinks they will be mailing out.

Recently received mine as well. This is the best Anniversary Edition so far from PS, very nice!
Still waiting on the Lot from bought from PS here in Dallas Bugs the hell out of me that they don't do tracking.
Just received my Salem's here in Oz. I love it - sleek, beautiful artwork, and I love its "three book" take on the title. Nice work PS...
I really like the three books as well.
Pete, if you're listening: pleeeeze do DIFFERENT SEASONS and give it the four book treatment.

You guys are killing me here! I can't wait for my copy to arrive!
