Can anyone recommend a website or twitter account for general, basic TV show news? I used to follow one called Seriable, but the twitter account hasn't been updated in 2 months, and the website also appears to be gathering cobwebs. It mainly had quick news about cancellations and new things that had been announced.

I do occasionally visit Collider, mainly for movie info, and I know they include TV, but I don't think they do as much with cancellations (most of what I like seems to get the early axe), and sometimes I just want a quick feed to check, rather than scrolling and reading.

Did a search and I was surprised to see that these are the only 2 posts regarding Humans in this entire thread. My wife and I just finished watching the end of Season 3 the other day. I've really enjoyed it so far but I'm not seeing a lot of hype about it. AMC is usually pretty good about advertising their shows.

I'm not even seeing a lot of articles or reviews about it. Hoping they continue on with S4.

I bailed right after I made that post too I think.

Started watching Peaky Blinders over the weekend. Pretty good show, if occasionally a little drab. The dynamic between Thomas and Arthur is more than a little reminiscent of Sonny and Michael Corleone, but it's distinctive enough to work within the frameworks of a post WWI London.

Also, that Preacher finale was fantastic. I was a little worried that the show would lose narrative coherence the crazier, and more like its comic book counterpart it became -- fortunately, the opposite seems to have happened. I'm enjoying it a lot more now that the gloves are off and the show is fully embracing it's wacky, supernatural elements. Can't wait for season 4.

Loved Peaky Blinders - it really grows on you. Wait till Tom Hardy shows up. I'm of the mind that Cillian Murphy would make a great James Bond.

I signed up for my free 1-month trial of YouTube Red specifically so I could watch "Cobra Kai", which is essentially a sequel to the original Karate Kid trilogy but it's set in current times.

It's interesting because it starts out following Johnny Lawrence instead of Daniel LaRusso and sort of tells the original story from his POV. If you've ever heard of the theory about Daniel being the real bully in the original story, it sort of plays along those lines.

I watched all 10 episodes in 2 days. There's a couple of different ways their lives get twisted together and they do a good job of portraying each character as slightly different than what everyone remembers them as. Johnny seems a little too stuck in the 80s to be believable. Still drives an old Firebird, doesn't use email or texting, doesn't know what Facebook is...

They do plenty of callbacks to the original movies and even bring back some of the exact same music and locations. They even touch on what happened to a few of the original characters that don't make and appearance in the show.

There is a bit of a plot twist about halfway through which of course leads them back to the Karate tournament. The ending is pretty predictable but it fits well.

There is a big surprise in the closing minutes of the last episode that should lead to an interesting season 2.

Overall I'd give it and 7.5/10. It's only 10 episodes but I feel like the story would have played out a little better had they had more time. There were a few parts that felt a little rushed.
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?

Anybody watch Kidding last night? I enjoyed it and it seems like Carrey's going to be great in the role, but some of the characters (the wife and son) seem a little off to me.

    This was a fun list:

    https://www.tvguide.com/news/100-best-shows-right-now/
Why is TV Guide ranking the 100 best shows right now? Tony Soprano once said, "Those who want respect, give respect." He also said, "A wrong decision is better than indecision."

But this list isn't about Tony Soprano. Or Don Draper. Or Olivia Pope or Mary Richards or Blanche Devereaux. This list is about today's golden age of television. Peak TV deserves its own spotlight, a ranking of the very best shows that are being created right now, across every platform.

Here's how we came up with the list: We limited eligibility for the 100 Best Shows Right Now to ongoing shows that have at least one more season slated to air — guidelines that disqualified limited series like Sharp Objects, as well as shows that just ended, like Adventure Time. With that in mind, every staffer nominated 25 shows (for a total of 149), and the most-nominated shows made our shortlist. Then, each staffer voted on the ranking order, and to help adjust for bias, one ballot was based on sister site Metacritic's TV rankings. With the complicated math out the way, the final rank order was determined after much passionate debate among TV Guide's editors.

The range of programming showcased below reveals just how many quality TV shows are airing today — and just how subjective the idea of "quality" can be. As you'll discover, Vanderpump Rules and Chicago Fire are featured side-by-side with prestige dramas like The Handmaid's Tale and Game of Thrones. A quarter of the list is devoted to shows that have had only one season so far. Some creators and stars work on multiple shows in the ranking, including Ryan Murphy, Samira Wiley, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Noah Hawley, Michael Schur, and many more, but none has Tobias Menzies beat. YouTube Premium series Cobra Kai and Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television made the cut, but The Walking Dead didn't. Maybe you disagree with us on the ranking, but we're pretty sure your new favorite show is somewhere on this list.

Here are the 100 Best Shows Right Now. Don't @ us. (But if you do, use the #100BestShows hashtag.)

Anyone watching season 2 of Mr Mercedes? I haven't read the books, but I felt the first season was drawn out and just meh. The second season, if true to the books, I feel is just way too out there and pretty much a massive fail.

I will give it some more time. I thought the shtick was funny the first episode but became old quickly for me...I have only watched through four (4) episodes so I will keep at it for a little longer.
