My 2 cents: I respect Alan's opinion but $1,000 is really on the low side for a fine/fine 2nd state 'Salems Lot... seeing as copies with significant DJ damage, sun fading etc. still go for a couple hundred dollars. My copy (pictured below) is quite nice but far from fine/fine, and I'm pretty sure I could sell it for at least $800. Given the fragility of the DJ and the scarcity of truly fine copies I don't think there is a linear price/condition relationship - IMO $2,000 is not out of the question for a truly great copy.
By the way - that's light reflection on the top edge of the DJ protector, not edge wear
