Hey guys... not sure how many of you ordered the Artist of Carrie from CD.. but did any of you get it remarqued? I did not... and was not going to. BUT then I thought it being an Artist edition there may be a TON of value added to it. Especially if the whole set was done. Thoughts?
HELP ME FIND
Insomnia #459
ANY S/L #459
You've already paid $250 for a basic, unsigned book and now you want to pay more for it?
"The Bogey Boys" -- you may need to highlight the text to read it
Author of The Road to the Dark Tower, Stephen King: A Complete Exploration of His Work, Life, and Influences and The Dark Tower Companion. Co-editor with Stephen King of the anthology Flight or Fright.
Thanks all for the answers

In case anyone missed it because I didn't post it in Calvin's Corner: Joyland Illustrated Edition.
And i'll send another email to the publisher (my contact has left but...)

You asked a question, you got an answer. It's pretty clear I meant not signed by King and it's pretty clear what I was trying to say if you read between the lines: no, it wouldn't add much value.
I'm actually considering adding one to 'Salem's Lot but not to add value but because I think Palumbo's art is amazing.
I'm probably going to shoot to get my set remarqued. I'll have to get Carrie remarqued by Glenn though because it wouldn't work to ship my copy to Croatia.. and we don't know who the last artist is going to be.
I'm guessing it will add some value. I do believe that remarqued copies of the Gift Editions of IT, Dr Sleep, FDNS etc.... all add value to the book. Just my opinion. I don't really plan on selling these anyways but if for any reason I did, I think I would come out ahead.
Did any of the TV Guides have any original first print fiction from King? What exactly is the collectibility of the King issues?
There was some discussion the other day, I think in the intriguing sales thread about how the price of Cavalier mags has been going up. Does anyone have a list of all the issues where there was a short story appearance? I know I can look in the catalog or Justin's bibliography but if someone already has a list that would be great. Thanks!
There is a thread somewhere with a list of men's magazines containing King fiction.
*edit: here it is: http://www.thedarktower.org/palaver/...gazine-fiction
Thanks Michaël! An opportunity came up and I caved and bought 6 issues in New/Fine+ condition. Now that I see how many there are, I have a ways to go....
For me they have the same collectibility since they present a different edition of a (Dark Tower) book, with their own ISBN code. Also because they have sometimes different artwork than the original release. The best thing is to find editions that have never been used in libraries.
These are the Turtleback books from my DT collection, only DT7 is used.
Very interesting, thanks for posting those pictures!
Those are actually quite sharp.
Foxing due to cheap paper and acidic contaminants. Age related spots due to ferrous oxide. ?high humidity.
