Ah. Thanks, all. It's hard to keep all the details in my soft head these days. I'm eager to see what the book is tomorrow!

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

Looks great. took me way too long to figure out what the black and white boards on the numbered represent.
I was bored in a meeting, after a busy and annoying day... ended up buying 2 artist copies
The roman numeral copies looks stunning.
Reminds me of the Stardust design edges. Absolutely lovely!

I snagged an artist edition. I've never read The Exorcist (it's on my Kindle but haven't gotten around to it yet) but figured I would regret it if I didn't.
Based on the numbered price I have a feeling I will probably end up selling whatever the next book is just so I can afford Blood Meridan.

I would guess so too. However, I am happy that Paul pulls out all stops for the books that really deserve it, even if it comes with a temporary price hike. Also I like that there is some variation in quality (predominantly in numbered) and hence in price - glad that once in a while there is a higher specced edition. I would start thinking about keeping all numbered books if all cost this much, but having one every few months works perfectly and allows for the heavy weight books to receive a more fitting treatment.
To be honest, I was surprised to see the price of the artist edition go up again. I really hope that doesn’t continue. Past $150 is it really a low cost option anymore? I’m also still surprised that this was the most requested book. For just a moment, I almost considered passing on this one. Almost.
I've been absolutely buried at work and completely forgot a new book is out today. I was frantically trying to place my order while at the same time participating in a conference call, since the call just ended and I figure the AE would go fast.
Wow can’t believe it sold out that fast. I figured Silence was because of the covers but that wasn’t a factor here.

The faster it sells, the more people will want it and have FOMO. It is self-propelling. Speed of sellout is an indicator of desirability (which is an indicator of quality) to customers, so people attach ex ante higher utility to faster selling goods. If Paul makes books long enough, we can maybe achieve an acceleration that we can use to drive a spaceship to Mars. Hence, the progress and future of humanity hinges on Suntup Editions. Probably not what Paul wished for when he started the press, but to shrug off this responsibility now would be nothing but irresponsible.
Gorgeous productions but that price point on the numbered has me pondering if the train is going to be leaving without me.
