FDNS in HB is around $6 at Barnes and Noble.
Is it me or does everyone get a receipt for $6.66 when you buy a remainder priced SK book using your BandN card?
The Trade PB is also cheap there.
Is the book $5.98, or $6.00?
If it is $5.98, I pay $5.98 x .90 x1.0825=$5.82
I'm still seeing stacks of JAS for $5.98 at B&N here in VA.
My B&N has them, too. Same price.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Why can't I find anything but Duma Key around here? I need to get a 1st/1st of Just After Sunset and 11/22/63.
I've seen a couple copies of Just After Sunset recently on the Remainder shelves at my B&N. I'll keep an eye out, Krystle.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
It's not necessarily remainders I'm seeking, I mean there are no copies at all! I have 2nd printings of both, but want firsts.

Saw Colorado Kid copies for $5.98 at B&N. They had possible 1sts and copies with "NY Times Bestseller.." on top. They also seemed over sized.

Can someone explain the rationale behind this practice?
Being from Europe, I've never seen this done here.
sk
It happens in Europe as well. The book publisher's representative goes to the shop and "marks" the books as "remaindered". The bookstore gets credit for each book marked. Sometimes the bookstore has to rip off the front page of a paperback to get a credit from the publisher. The kind of thing same thing happens with left over newspapers.
Thanks - learn something new every day.
