Coming soon to a hard drive near you:
Holy hell, this is such a strong group, loaded with excellent films. Will need time...
bears don't need time
El Orfanato is the best horror film ever, period.
Ask not what bears can do for you, but what you can do for bears. (razz)
When one is in agreement with bears one is always correct. (mae)
bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Fly still creeps me the fuck out. Cronenberg is the undisputed master of body horror.
A lot of creepy as hell movies in this grouping. I hadn't seen The Orphanage before and will see if it's on Netflix. There are at least 3 in this group I may vote for so I need to think on this on awhile.
I haven't seen El Orfanato either. Adding it to my queue nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnow.
Considering it still sits there with one vote (mine), we might presume that once again bears have displayed their weird tastes
(fair warning)

I doubt many people have seen Fear(s) of the Dark, but I watched it recently on YouTube (gray area there as far as legality I guess) but it blew me away. Beautiful and creepy as hell. I nominated it but I can't see it getting any votes here.
It doesn't look like Session 9 or The Orphanage are available for streaming...I do have the dvd plan but that seems to reserved strictly for the family...not including me.
the trailer looks very, very good, but I think it's a different kind of art

Another group where I wan't to vote for half the movies! But I have to go with The Fly.
How does Pet Semetary have more votes than Frailty and The Orphanage? What fresh hell is this? I'm with Jean, The Orphanage is the best horror movie I've ever seen. Such brilliant craftsmanship from it's human tragedy to it's constant permeation of dread that simply never lets you get out from under it's grip, except for one solid scare a little over halfway through that is very much needed to bring the tension to a climax so the film can ramp you back up for its fantastic conclusions.

Someone else other than me voted for Ju-on? That's awesome. The original Japanese trailer was one of the creepiest things I've even seen (as was the movie). The Americanized trailer above makes the movie sound like it has a real actual plot, and is not nearly as effective.
Frailty was the best hands down on this list... shocked I am the only one so far that voted for it! If you have not seen it... watch it before you vote!

I'm somewhat surprised at the love for King Kong. Makes me regret not nominating Godzilla (the original).
Me too, although honestly I don't really consider either a horror film.
I kinda wish I tossed my vote to either Frailty or The Orphanage, since mine has no chance of moving on
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
The Orphanage and Frailty not advancing past this first round saddens me :'(
