Where is the right place?
Where is the right place?
I moved it out of the ocean this morning and just to the "denver" area Daghain.
We can make it more specific if you like

Fort Collins would be specific enough

Coolio--I will move that now.
(is looking for a reason to play with it)

LOL Thanks.

I'm the map,
I'm the map,
I'm the map,
I'm the map,
I'm the map!
Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I thought you said you put yourself on there. But that is good too.

Added me.
My favorite bands can kick your favorite bands' asses.
The horizon is right and motionless like the EKG of a dying woman.
Yay!!
Brian added himself, thanks for doing that, I love seeing where people from other countries live.
And...I had no idea you were from Ireland until now, very cool.

I am about to upgrade the member map to the newest version you guys, should give some functionality that we have not had before.
I am told all the data will be saved so those of you who have already added yourselves should not have to do it again.
Those of you who haven't added yourself...well, there will be a newer, coolio place to do it.

ZoNeSeeK, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Hrm, my profile is just wacky!

You are correct, it is wacky
but in this instance, its because I have shut it down on everyone for the upgrade of the map.
I actually but your user group back to just "facilitator" to see if it changed everything back.

So...did it work?

My dear friends--
The new member map is actually a version that is specifically designed for members only. That last one we had was actually something a little different that was designed to list events and get togethers--I may put the updated version of it on later.
The reason I changed it at all is because the version we were using had some serious holes in it as we could all see. This one will allow things like member groups--but it still has a few bugs. The author of the code is working on an updated release. They are very minor.
What it can do is pretty fun though.
-has a link to the users profile in there
-I can set it so registered members can only edit their own (not possible on the other one)
-I am going to add a little "postbit" that says "find me" that when clicked will take people to that spot on the map.
-You can easily link your marker in your sig if you like
-We can use photos from the gallery to populate the image tab.
-The next version is going to have a "proximity" calculate to show the distances between members.
Now, the down side is that this is a different product and did not hold on to the existing markers.
Please re add yours and let me know if there are problems--this is all in an effort to get the best products possible for the site.
Much love,
Matt

I added mine.

Thank you so much
And you to Jerome. Its great to have admin showing the way.

Well, the first time I did it it put me in Argentina(!) for some reason.

It sticks you where ever you click first
Its kind of weird that way but at least it will reposition where ever you click after that.
The kindness of close friends is like a warm blanket
Done.
Roland would have understood.
That was the weird thing. I clicked on Fort Collins (I even zoomed in enough to make sure I had the right spot). When I finished and map re-drew itself, I was in Argentina.
Once I clicked Fort Collins again it moved, though. It was very strange.
