Tommyknockers was the first King novel I'd ever read, but not my favorite. Besides the DT books, I'd have to say that It is, in my opinion, the most well crafted story. The Stand is a close second, though it does suffer a little drag in the middle.

I was about halfway through Insomnia before I had to put it down. Thus far it's been captivating, but I'm waiting for the real action to start, i.e. the Crimson King plotline.

(CrinVA appeared three times. The third appearance was identical to the second. ). I included only those votes for Talisman or Black House where they were considered separate novels. I included the conventional collections, though, because, in my arbitrary opinion, a collection is closer to being one "book" than two separate novels.

I'm a bit surprised Duma Key isn't up there somewhere. It definitely rates in my top 5:

1. The Stand (Uncut)
2. Bag of Bones
3. Dolores Claiborne
4. Green Mile
5. Duma Key

This list changes often for me, though, especially places 3 through 5. Other "nominees" include It, Insomnia, Salem's Lot. I go through stages where I want to reread certain ones.
