I haven’t posted much lately in the way of P&J. At Christmas my wife surprised me with the last S/L I needed to complete my collection. A My Pretty Pony. It was something I’ll never forget. It even came with the traycase. I had looking for years and here she is giving it to me on Christmas. I was truly touched and it made my holidays. It was also the nicest copy I have seen.
I wondered what to do moving forward but there is still so much I want to get and today this arrived. I love Whelan and this marks 15 originals for me. I reached out to Audrey and Michael and he had thoughtful memories of painting this. It is a study of Roland from the first Gunslinger and he called it: Gunslinger Eternal Night. It’s just as new and was held by a King collector. I always wanted an older piece... and finally have one. I have since dropped it off to have the glass removed and replaced by new anti glare and UV. My love for collecting will just grow where I have completed my First goal. I still have many more. Here is a couple pictures I took of the piece before I dropped it off to the framer.

Congrats Webstar. That MPP and picture are really great. It must be awesome to be finished with all your signed limited books that you wanted. I guess I have to look at your thread again to see them all.
I love them both, congrats!

Congratulations. I have one of the four. They are a quirky item, but given their rarity, I believe they will always be in demand.

I really like the signed cards, too. Congratulations, Tippy!
I bought a copy of the unsigned Scream Press Skeleton Crew S/L online. I got a good description over the phone, and figured that since there are only 300 unsigned copies, $75 was a great deal.
The book arrived yesterday. The seller should have looked a little more closely!

Nice! By the way, AFAIK there are only 25 unsigned (publisher’s) copies.
You know, I think some sellers who are not book collectors, sees those signatures and think they are printed on the book. Awesome catch!

Marshroots
Lettered Eyes Of The Dragon
Lettered The Stand
BOMC signed Full Dark No Stars
MM AGOT #249

I just think they do not check the back of the book - and assume they are only signed in the front and if not there then not signed. nice deal

Nice! I agree that sigs in the back can confuse novice sellers.
That's cool.
Just wondering, what would be a "fair" value for that book?

Fair value for S/L Skeleton Crew would be >$500. Probably $600.
