Thanks so much!
I used to mostly only read Stephen King when I was a teenager. I'm now 37 and for some weird reason I can't explain all of a sudden started reading him again since then. Finished Gwendy's Button Box recently followed by finishing Sleeping Beautues only last night. Got a feeling I'm not gonna stop.
Welcome aboard the King train, destination Obsession!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I can't find answers on the wiki or via search...
Could someone explain reputation points? I assume more is good, but do you start with a certain amount? Can I give them to others if they are "reputable"?
Any info is appreciated! (Or a link to something obvious I may have missed that explains them...)
Reputation points are somewhat self explanatory. If someone makes a post that you find to be extraordinary (strictly subjective on your part) you can give them positive reputation points. All new members start with a very low reputation count. The system is set up so that you must give reputation to others before you can give additional reputation to someone you have recently given rep too.

The numbers can be changed, but the current settings are:
- Daily Reputation Clicks Limit
How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? Administrators are exempt from this limit: 10
- Reputation User Spread
How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? Administrators are exempt from this limit: 20
I would also add, that the giving of feedback should not be done lightly - ESPECIALLY negative feedback. Think of it like eBay feedback - members who have a good level of reputation have it for a reason, usually because they have helped others or posted information that is highly regarded (or highly amusing!). There is nothing to stop you posting positive or negative feedback anonymously (unfortunately IMHO) but unless you have a very good reason it will be considered 'Bad Form'.
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
I must commence to posting!
Ok this is actually really cool to know I have just landed and am walking around eyes wide at the size and scope of all the rooms / individual threads in this tower.
Will get my head around it but I see some familiar names that have always been pretty welcoming so I feel I have finally come home
There is so much awesome to explore around the boards. I hope you enjoy it here.
Also, I get really excited when new people join because I never get tired of discussing all things King.
Thanks @ Girlystevedave I think this is is going to be a good fit for me as I feel the same never get tired of discussing all things King and I love learning about some new odd piece of king trivia I didn't know am already finding some hidden treasure on some of the threads
Thanks for the warm welcome @ Brian861
