Just because I want to read it anyway, and have heard so many good things about it:
I wish to nominate "Fevre Dream" by George R.R. Martin.
Sloth Love Chunk
I would like to nominate The Great And Secret Show by Clive Barker
if the worlds gonna end then let's get it over with, i got shit to do
Can I nominate any book Jane Austen didn't write?

When one is in agreement with bears one is always correct. (mae)
bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would rather...
Nevermind!
Suffice it to say reading her name is painful enough. Her writing is one step BELOW Harlequin Romances.
What about "The Once and Future King" by TH White?
( re-telling of the legend of King Arthur, based somewhat on Le Morte D'Arthur )
The Man In Black Fled Across The Desert...
...And The Gunslinger Followed.
“I’m always on the Batman rule, sir.” - Kate Kane / Detective Comics 857
"It is the story, not he who tells it." Except to us collectors who have to put limits somewhere. - jhanic
Remember, Remember, The Fifth of November, The Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot.
i nominate (drum roll please)
war of the worlds - GH wells
I don't think anyone will vote for it but here you are: Flowers for Argernon by Daniel Keyes
Roland would have understood.
That's an excellent suggestion, Letti.

Actually, I think i considered it for last book club as a nomination, before it was decided to stick with what we already had. I second Flowers for Algernon

Noooooooooo - i hate that book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
admited, it was 10 years ago (or possibly more) that i tried to read it, but from what i can remember it felt like the mental equivalent of banging my head against a brick wall.
I shall give it another try because bears like it
Spoiler:
bears weren't really growling, they were purring in a questioning way
Yes, I think you should try to reread it now! It's one of the best books ever, in bears' opinion

Are you still taking nominations? If so, I'd like to nominate Turn of the Screw by Henry James.
