I have to say I was debating with myself for days whether or not to bid, what with the Christmas spending credit card bill on its way, but in the end, with the proceeds going to the fundraiser, plus, as was said earlier in the thread, there aren't that many SK signed DT comics out there (though it'll never surpass Ari's!), I took the plunge in the last ten minutes of the auction. And I'm really delighted to have won it!
Now if you'll excuse me - I have to go put the apartment up for sale to pay for it.....

You can carry the books around in a backpack. Just make sure to get one of those used for major hiking, like Appalachian Trail hiking, and not a booksack like kids use for school books.
