If Sai King doesn't know if he really wants, or is able to write another Dark Tower book, I think it would be much better if he did something else instead.
I am not registered there, but if I were, I would vote against DT. It is not what should depend on the readers' advice, it's not Easter cake against Thanksgiving turkey recipe we're talking here now. If it not driven from the inside of the author's soul, to hell with it.

Nonetheless, if he can put off writing another DT book, he should delay it and let it mature inside him. When the right time comes, I don't think he will be asking questions; until it has come, I'd rather he kept away from the Tower. Just a bear's opinion.

There is a lot in what you say Jean but I need to vote for Mid-World book. I can't help it.
Anyway I don't think he needs help to decide. He is just interested in his constant readers' opinion and feelings.

Jean, I think it's maybe more a matter of in the past members on that site have asked that there be more interaction with him...and possibly he's trying to give that a little. And I'd bet both books are started anyhow, if not finished.
Personally, I would rather read about Danny right now. I think King should take a little more time away from the Tower. Like Jean said, let it mature.

Yep, last time when I was in the shop and I couldn't decide if I should buy bananas or oranges I couldn't talk to him, his phone was busy all the time.Oh, sure...he wants MY opinion now, but when I call his house for his opinions...

The shining, while a brilliant novel, was never a favorite of mine. I'd much rather see a new Dark Tower book with Cuthbert.
