The mosaic was a lot better than I was expecting though. While its true you can't make out actual faces, you can tell that the picture is made up of lots of small faces. I was worried the pictures would be so small you couldn't even really tell it was a mosaic at all...
My local Wally World "walmart" has the US trade edition for $18.00
At least you get to see the condition of the book before you buy...I got 2 in perfect condition,,
Brian....
UK S/L TWTTK
£220 plus shipping from the UK
Hello everybody, if anyone discovers they have #157 of UK WTTK please contact me. Ta.
Someone e-mailed me about the 1-200 and 1-700 that they are the same color but it would have been nice to have the 1-200 blue and the 1-700 black. Oh well it is what it is.
Well I actually was thinking about what to do with it... Getting the shrinkwrap off, makes it also loosing it's stickers, Which makes it difficult to differ from the facsimile limited (still on it's way).
Maybe I only open it at the side so i can take out the book and view the number of the book and how the signation looks
I ordered TWTTK UK trade edition from Amazon UK. Total was about $26 American including shipping to Oklahoma. I probably would not have bothered if I wasn't extremely famous being on the cover and all. <\sarcasm>. They shipped today with an expected delivery of May 3.
I'm a bit surprised the Scribner edition is a tad shorter than a usual King book.
Tom and Alan are you going to tell us what numbers you got?
I've got number 131 But i'm not selling it
I have all books in hand now, all safe & sound :-) got a pic of them all to show later. I have #66!
I've got no idea what the realistic timeframe is to get this from Waterstones in UK to Dallas, TX but I'm very excited to get this. This is the smallest edition that I have a copy of. It's rather thrilling to know there are only 199 other copies of this version floating around. That maybe doesn't mean much with a book that has 7 variations(!) but it's still a step away from the norm for me. You guys are making me break the mold that I've been operating with for the past 25 years.
Although I was all confirmed and had the shipped emails, etc, I was glad to see the actual full fledged charge on my card yesterday. They sometimes will play games with me, and all of a sudden I'm having to talk to the Fraud department.
I'll post what my number is once it is in hand. If I happen to get one of these other folks #'s, I'll do what I can to help them out.
