First I have heard.
First I have heard.
I posted about that ages ago, no one took any notie Steve at Analecta books was selling some!
As Tim said, he had posted something about this, but I was afraid that it was just the copy with a facsimile signature. I guess I'll be in the market for one also.

I haveonetwo (not yet, but my lead is promising) £375 may be-probably is too much, but if David is reasonably assure of getting one, then it's a minor quibble.
I just ordered the AE edition.

Yeah i had the chance to buy one but i just can't justify that price, it's bloody crazy imo and i'm sure someone is making some serious money out of it!
I think so, this will more than likely be the same as the facimile copy just with a real sig instead. So is the real signature worth £325? I think not
I also declined one for approximately that amount. I just can't afford it right now.
John
Who and where are these books(real singed limited) coming from?
They were supposedly published by Hodder & Stoughton and some were originally offered for sale by Analecta (sp?) Books. I skipped buying one because I wasn't sure it wasn't just one of the 700 published by H&S with King's facsimile signature.
John
So, are they all sold out..or is there a place where one may be able to purchase one?
Thank you Karen!!! Just got my replacement copy of TWTTK, after first having issues with the dust jacket sticking to the book. The replacement was sent out as soon as she got the return shipment, and this one is in perfect condition!
FWIW, I was the person who offered a copy up for 425 Pounds. I found two copies-which I had to pay up front for, and with Paypal conversion rate and shipping, it was break even for me to privately offer the book at that price.
I am the person out on a 'limb" and if the UK seller is bogus, I eat the money-I'd rather refund 425 Pounds and take the loss than lose my credibility. Time will tell if I am the fool, but presuming there are only 200 truly signed copies, and given the poor conversion rate of the US Dollar to the Pound-it will be tough to buy the book at anything approaching retail.
No good deed/intent goes unpunished, and henceforth I will be sure to simply put the item up for sale on Ebay-why help a fellow collector out when one can take the money and run...?
Are you keeping one of the copies Jerome? I assume so!
I am sure I speak for the entire membership when I say that we appreciate your work in obtaining these copies and offering them up to the membership.....If legit (which I am confident they will be) these editions will serve as a very nice contribution to the respective collections of those lucky enough to obtain one...

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
If I could have afforded to spend the money, I would have. I agree that 425 pounds is a lot, but if there are only 200 copies, I think they'd be worth it.
John
I would not pay a penny over the issue price, whatever that is. I've still not seen any evidence that this is genuine yet.
One of the things that concerns me is that the 700-copy edition with the facsimile signature states that it's a facsimile ONLY on the shrinkwrap--nowhere on the book itself, at least as far as I can see. Is the edition with the "real" signature numbered, as is the other edition?
