    Thanks to all of you who have supported me along the way. The deal is not sealed yet but it should be tomorrow.

    That said, I want to say 2 things:

    (1) I know all of you loyal customers of Betts will be understanding as I try to perform 2 jobs and still leave time for family. This will mean responses from me on inquiries that are not as prompt as you are used to. But know that my heart and soul is still in Betts as a business, and I intend to be its caretaker into my retirement years (which at age 51 are still a ways away).

    (2) I am still planning an Autumn sale. As I stated, my mother (who I see only once a year) is arriving tomorrow for the weekend, and then I am likely starting the new job on Monday (regular day hours I should think for awhile before I switch to nights). I will do all I can to organize a good sale, and as soon as I can. However, if there are existing books listed that appeal to you, but you don't like the price...make me an offer now (I know you won't insult me, so make a good offer). This way you may get the book you want and not be vying with other customers who like the new value.

    Better late than never.... congratulations David! That must be a huge load off for you after months of stressing. But look at it this way, if you hadn't lost your job you may never have even thought about buying Betts, a true silver lining some might say, especially now that everything has worked out for you!
